We are seeking energetic and outgoing individuals to represent TxDOT’s Pedestrian Safety initiative as part of the WALKR Street Team. This campaign, launching during National Pedestrian Safety Month, focuses on raising awareness in cities with the highest rates of pedestrian-related traffic crashes across all 25 TxDOT districts.

As a key member of the team, you will be out on the streets wearing backpack billboards, walking pre-determined routes at busy intersections. Your role will involve:

Engaging actively with both drivers and pedestrians
Distributing branded slap band giveaways
Activating vital safety messages when cars are halted
Ensuring compliance with all routes and safety protocols provided for each activation

Most of your shift will be outdoors, requiring you to remain on your feet and engage with the public while maintaining an approachable and upbeat demeanor. You will collaborate closely with your team and support the Team Lead with any on-site needs.
