About This Role

Roles:
Mascot - $30/hour
The Mascot will fully embody the iconic character, requiring:
- Height requirement: 5’7” - 6’0” to properly fit the costume.
- Ability to wear the full costume for the entire shift, with ample breaks provided.
- An outgoing personality with the ability to convey expression through non-verbal performance and gestures.
- Willingness to take photos with event attendees upon request.
- Strict adherence to all provided rules and guidelines for character portrayal, including no speaking, always being in full costume when visible, and using only approved poses and hand gestures.
- Consistent communication with your Account Executive before and after the event.
Handler - $23/hour
The Handler serves as the Mascot's crucial support, requiring:
- An outgoing personality with excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, demonstrating assertiveness and engaging communication.
- Ability to interact positively with event attendees, generating excitement for the character and brand.
- Ownership of a smartphone with reliable internet, service, sufficient data storage, screenshot capability, and GPS.
- Capability to take 20+ event photos and store them on your device for 10 days.
- Submission of all event and recap photos via email/text to your Account Executive within 24 hours of the event.
- Assistance with the successful return of the costume, either by correctly repacking it and noting its location for pick-up at the store (no additional pay for this option) or by dropping off a UPS package at the end of the shift for a bonus payment.
- Maintaining constant communication with your Account Executive, including geo-tagged check-in photos and regular updates.
Both team members are expected to act in accordance with client guidelines provided upon booking, demonstrating care and respect for these iconic characters and the brand.
Both the Mascot and Handler must be able to stand for the duration of the shift and be capable of lifting 25 lbs, as the role may involve moving supply packages. Reliability is paramount; no-shows, last-minute cancellations, and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Bonus Opportunity: Teams are encouraged to take the costume box directly to UPS following the event for a single $15 bonus. This task can be completed by either the Mascot or the Handler.
