In-Store Food Sample Demos

We are seeking passionate, reliable, energetic, and experienced In-Store Demo Representatives to showcase a variety of food products at wholesale restaurant supply stores. This role involves preparing, cooking, and sampling products to engage customers and drive sales.

This is an ongoing opportunity starting April 2024 with a regularly occurring schedule. We offer competitive compensation at $27.50 per hour, paid as a W2 Employee.

Schedule details:

• Days: Monday - Friday (No weekends!)
• Duration: 4-hour demos
• Shift Times:
  • 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
• Frequency: 4-10 demos per week on a weekly basis
• Opportunity for double shifts
• Same location for every shift

Our client is a well-known restaurant supply company catering to professionals in the food service industry. As an In-Store Representative, you will introduce customers to new products and brands through both cooking and non-cooking demonstrations. Your efforts will focus on merchandising, building customer relationships, gathering feedback, and ultimately driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain an appealing demo station within the store.
• Prepare and distribute samples of food products, highlighting product offerings. Cooking skills are required.
• Engage with consumers, educating them on featured products, benefits, and ingredients, actively selling promoted products utilizing strong sales techniques.
• Comfortably discuss product suitability and application in professional kitchens with restaurant owners and chefs.
• Gather feedback from consumers and communicate it effectively to the appropriate teams.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking demo supplies as necessary.
• Collaborate with store personnel to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Keep meticulous tracking of sales data and metrics during demos.
• Take photos of demo setups and products for promotional purposes.
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting on customer feedback and sales performance.
