About This Role

GTE Agency is seeking an enthusiastic Mascot Handler to represent a high-profile brand as an iconic character. We welcome both individual applicants and teams. Experience is preferred but not required.

Team members will work directly with location staff to facilitate meet and greets with event attendees. This may include participating in special activities, award ceremonies, or presentations while distributing stickers, coupons, and other promotional items. The team must be able to follow provided guidelines in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiasm and positivity are essential when interacting with the public.

LOCATIONS/DATES:

  • Friday, October 31st, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Walmart, 8064 BREWERTON RD, CICERO, NY 13039

ROLES:

HANDLER - $23/hr

The Handler serves as the Mascot's eyes and ears. Responsibilities include:

  • Possessing an outgoing personality with excellent verbal and people skills, and the ability to be assertive and engaging.
  • Interacting with event attendees while maintaining a positive attitude and generating excitement for the character and brand.
  • Owning a smartphone with reliable internet access/service and data storage, screenshot, and GPS capability.
  • Taking 20+ event photos and storing them on your device for 10 days.
  • Emailing/texting all event photos and recap photos to your Account Executive within 24 hours of the event.
  • Assisting in the successful return of the costume: either leaving the costume (correctly re-packaged) in the store and documenting its location for pickup (no extra pay), OR dropping off a UPS package at the end of the shift for a bonus payment.
  • Maintaining constant communication with your Account Executive, including sending check-in geo-tagged photos and ongoing updates.

As representatives of both the character and the brand, all team members must adhere to client guidelines provided upon booking. Care and respect for these iconic characters are paramount.
