About This Role

We are seeking a confident, organized, and experienced Assistant General Manager to help lead and transform a high-volume hospitality venue. This is a performance-based opportunity that will evolve into a full General Manager role within 60–90 days. The right candidate will work closely with Indigo Event Marketing to restore structure, drive team accountability, and protect the owners' vision while providing excellent guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations & Floor Management
    • Oversee nightly operations and guest experience delivery
    • Ensure all Indigo systems and shift procedures are followed
    • Monitor staff behavior, service flow, and cash/POS procedures
    • Manage staff scheduling and nightly shift flow
  • Staff Leadership & Culture
    • Set expectations and hold staff accountable respectfully and firmly
    • Help build and maintain a culture of excellence and respect
    • Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members as needed
  • Owner & Leadership Support
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff concerns and operations
    • Reinforce owner boundaries and prevent backdoor decision-making
    • Communicate important updates to Indigo and ownership only when necessary
  • Security & Financial Oversight
    • Ensure security team professionalism and enforce no-tip policies
    • Monitor bar sales, drawer reports, and nightly closeouts for irregularities
    • Immediately report any concerns of theft, mismanagement, or policy violations

  • Staff retention and morale improvement
  • Improved shift reports and guest feedback
  • Reduction in theft or cash discrepancies
  • Execution of pre-shift and post-shift duties
  • Strong leadership presence and culture enforcement

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a bar or restaurant management role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to confidently address problems and maintain team respect
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Comfortable enforcing systems and holding peers accountable
