We are seeking energetic and outgoing individuals to be part of TxDOT’s WALKR Street Team, which is dedicated to promoting pedestrian safety across Texas. This initiative activates in cities with the highest rates of pedestrian-related traffic incidents, particularly during National Pedestrian Safety Month.
As Brand Ambassadors, you will wear backpack billboards while walking pre-determined routes at busy intersections to create a strong visual presence. Your role is crucial in reminding both drivers and pedestrians to stay alert and watch out for each other.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with drivers and pedestrians actively to promote safety messages.
- Distribute branded slap band giveaways during your interactions.
- Activate campaign safety messages when cars are stopped at intersections.
- Follow designated walking paths and safety protocols throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with your team and support the Team Lead with on-site tasks.
Be prepared to spend most of your shift outdoors, remaining on your feet and maintaining a positive and approachable attitude to maximize community impact.
