This position is based at a private residence backyard in La Palma, CA. Please note that parking is limited on the cul-de-sac; we recommend parking on Branford Street and walking in. The event will be held outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather.
Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated professional server to assist with a wedding reception. Your primary duties will include:
- Set-up and breakdown of tables and equipment.
- Clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event.
- Bussing dishes, rinsing plates and silverware to ensure hygiene.
- Serving plated food, cutting and serving the wedding cake, along with coffee.
- Replenishing three drink containers and two ice buckets as the event progresses.
- Serving beverages including water, lemonade, iced tea, beer, wine, and champagne (cocktails are not permitted).
- Ensuring tables remain tidy and assist guests as needed.
Guests will arrive around 3:30 PM following the wedding ceremony in Long Beach, so punctuality is essential.
Uniform
A black button-down shirt and black slacks are required, along with comfortable closed-toe shoes.
Notes
Please arrive on time for your shift and be prepared to work the full event duration. No unleashed pets will be permitted on site. All necessary supplies will be provided; please bring a friendly attitude and a willingness to help make the reception a success.
