Be a part of TxDOT’s innovative Pedestrian Safety initiative by joining the WALKR Street Team. This program aims to enhance pedestrian safety awareness in cities experiencing high rates of pedestrian-related traffic crashes. As a team member, you will actively engage with the community, serving as a visual and interactive presence on the streets.

Your Role

As a Brand Ambassador, you will represent TxDOT’s commitment to safety by:

Wearing a backpack billboard while walking designated routes at busy intersections.
Distributing branded slap band giveaways to pedestrians and drivers.
Activating and promoting campaign safety messages when vehicles are stopped.
Following prescribed walking paths and safety protocols to ensure a safe and impactful experience.
Collaborating with your team and supporting the Team Lead throughout the event.

Work Environment

Expect to be outdoors, on your feet, and actively engaging with the public for the duration of your shift. This role provides you with an opportunity to make a significant impact in your community while promoting safety awareness.
