About This Role

Newbridge Marketing Group is seeking enthusiastic and reliable professionals to join our team for an exciting tech activation at a premium pop-up retail store in San Francisco, California.

We are currently hiring for critical roles including Market Manager, Assistant Market Manager, and Brand Ambassadors. Ideal candidates will be outgoing, professional, and adept at engaging consumers, driving sales, and providing hands-on product demonstrations. Event Details:

  • Dates: Tentatively November 24 – December 24 (Thanksgiving Day off)
  • Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday, 8 hours/day
  • Location: San Francisco, CA

Compensation:

  • Market Manager (MM): $1,500/week
  • Assistant Market Manager (AMM): $1,400/week
  • Brand Ambassador (BA): $30/hour
  • Performance Bonus: Based on execution, professionalism, and meeting campaign KPIs
  • Travel/Lodging: Not provided (local hires only)

Roles and Responsibilities:

Market Manager (MM):

  • Oversee daily operations of the pop-up retail store.
  • Drive sales through customer engagement, upselling, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Manage store opening/closing procedures, including cash handling and register reconciliation.
  • Oversee POS software and hardware, including training Brand Ambassadors, troubleshooting, and running sales reports.
  • Ensure store displays and merchandising adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
  • Train, coach, and motivate staff on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service standards.
  • Manage staff check-ins, breaks, uniforms, and daily timesheet submission to NMG (with attendance photos).
  • Track engagement reporting and ensure Brand Ambassador execution of consumer demos.
  • Submit daily sales reports, consumer feedback, and photo content for recaps.

Assistant Market Manager (AMM):

  • Support the Market Manager with day-to-day store operations, sales, and consumer engagement.
  • Assist with POS device troubleshooting and transaction management.
  • Help oversee Brand Ambassador performance, providing coaching and real-time feedback.
  • Support inventory checks, merchandising, and engagement station readiness.
  • Assist with reporting: photos, sales notes, and recap details to the NMG team.
  • Step into Market Manager responsibilities as needed.

Brand Ambassador (BA) / Product Specialist (PS):

  • Welcome and engage consumers at demo stations and within the retail footprint.
  • Educate customers on product features, benefits, and purchasing options.
  • Assist with sales transactions and operate POS devices (training provided).
  • Distribute giveaways and promotional materials.
  • Support setup/teardown, merchandising, and light cleaning tasks.
  • Drive consumer engagement through product demonstrations and brand storytelling.
  • Deliver a fun, professional, and memorable experience.

Training:

  • Paid online and onsite training provided prior to the first event.
  • Additional training touchpoints throughout the campaign as needed.

Requirements:

  • Sales or retail experience required for all roles.
  • High technical aptitude.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, and confident engaging with the public.
  • Previous promotional, event, or field marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (for AMM & MM roles).
  • Ability to stand for long periods and assist with event setup/teardown (up to 50 lbs).
  • Professionalism and reliability are a must.
  • Comfortable driving sales conversations and encouraging product purchases.
  • Willingness to learn and operate a POS device (training provided if required).
