Join TxDOT’s WALKR Street Team as a Brand Ambassador in Victoria, Texas, where you will play a crucial role in promoting pedestrian safety during National Pedestrian Safety Month. This initiative is designed to remind both drivers and pedestrians to stay alert and watch out for each other.
As a member of the WALKR Street Team, you will create a strong visual presence by wearing a backpack billboard and walking predetermined routes at busy intersections. You will engage directly with the community, distributing branded giveaways, activating campaign safety messages, and promoting safe practices.
Responsibilities
- Engage with drivers and pedestrians, creating interaction at busy intersections.
- Distribute branded slap band giveaways to promote pedestrian safety awareness.
- Activate safety messages during car stops at intersections, ensuring visibility.
- Follow designated walking routes and adhere to safety protocols established for the campaign.
- Work collaboratively with your team and support the Team Lead with various onsite needs.
Expect to spend most of your shift outdoors, walking, and remaining active while maintaining a positive, approachable, and energetic demeanor to maximize your impact on community awareness about pedestrian safety.
Pay: $28.00/hr
Schedule: October 15, 9:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Time subject to change)
