About This Role
We are seeking energetic and outgoing Brand Ambassadors to join our WALKR Street Team, an integral part of TxDOT’s statewide Pedestrian Safety initiative. As a Brand Ambassador, you will be a key representative in cities with the highest rates of pedestrian-related traffic crashes, promoting critical safety messages to both drivers and pedestrians.
This initiative proudly kicks off during National Pedestrian Safety Month, focusing on increasing awareness and promoting safe habits for everyone on our roads.
What You’ll Do:
- Represent TxDOT’s Pedestrian Safety initiative by wearing backpack billboards and walking pre-determined routes at busy intersections to create a strong visual presence.
- Engage actively with drivers and pedestrians.
- Distribute branded slap band giveaways.
- Activate campaign safety messages while cars are stopped.
- Ensure all routes and safety protocols are diligently followed.
- Maintain a positive, approachable, and energetic attitude to maximize community impact and campaign visibility.
What to Expect:
- You will spend most of your shift outdoors, actively walking and on your feet.
- Working alongside your team and supporting the Team Lead with on-site needs.
