Betty the Yeti Holiday Activation

Karma Casting, in partnership with WS Development, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to bring holiday magic to the Seaport as a Mascot Performer and a Brand Ambassador Handler for a series of festive winter events. We are hiring one individual to portray "Betty the Yeti" and another to act as their dedicated handler. While the ideal scenario is for the same Mascot and Brand Ambassador to cover all event dates, partial availability will be considered. The Mascot will embody Betty the Yeti, engaging with families, posing for photos, and spreading holiday cheer as the memorable face of the character. The Brand Ambassador will provide essential support by managing guest flow, assisting with costume needs, and sharing the captivating "lore" of the non-verbal Betty the Yeti with attendees.Event Dates & Times:

• Fitting (Mascot Only): TBD, 3 hours prior to first event
• November 7, 2025: 9:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• November 14, 2025: 10:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• December 5, 2025: 4:45 PM – 8:15 PM
• December 13, 2025: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• December 28, 2025: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• January 11, 2026: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• January 25, 2026: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• February 8, 2026: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• February 12, 2026: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• February 18, 2026: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• February 22, 2026: 11:45 AM – 3:15 PM

*Additional dates may be added.Each shift includes 15 minutes before and after for essential preparation and breakdown.Talent Requirements:Mascot (Betty the Yeti):

• Height: 5’8”–5’11”, with a slimmer build to ensure proper costume fit
• Previous mascot or character performance experience is preferred
• Must be outgoing, animated, and comfortable performing in costume for extended periods
• Availability for a paid 3-hour fitting in advance of the first event

Brand Ambassador (Handler):

• Outgoing, engaging, and friendly demeanor
• Strong communication skills to effectively share Betty’s "lore" with guests
• Ability to manage crowd flow, assist with mascot needs, and maintain a fun, positive energy
• Professional appearance required; no visible tattoos or facial piercings during events
• Comfortable interacting with children and families in a family-friendly environment

Uniform:The Mascot costume will be provided by the client. For the Brand Ambassador, a client shirt will be provided (seasonal attire TBD), and additional layers should be clean and neutral.Other Details:Parking information is TBD; any paid parking expenses will be reimbursed with a receipt.
