Gaming Brand Holiday Mascot Appearances

More Than Models is seeking exceptional Costume Character Actors and Character Handlers to animate a major gaming brand's Holiday Character Appearances 2025 event in New York, NY.

This exciting opportunity runs from Friday, December 12 to Sunday, December 14, 2025. Full availability for all three days is required, and related experience is preferred for both roles.

Costume Character Actors must be comfortable performing in a fully enclosed costume, maintaining high energy, possessing strong stamina, and utilizing large, animated movements to effectively portray the character while remaining physically active throughout their entire shift. A height range of 4'11" - 5'5" is required for this role.

Character Handlers should be highly proactive, knowledgeable, and adept at connecting with the audience, the assigned characters (to be announced), and relevant game titles. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, including preparing groups for photos, managing lines and appearance timings, supporting guests with taking photos on their devices, and guiding, protecting, and dressing the character with excellent communication skills.

The event hourly rate for all talent is $30-35/hour. All talent will be hired as Independent Contractors and paid via direct deposit within two weeks of the event's conclusion.

The tentative activation location is New York, NY 10024. The schedule for Costume Character Actors and Character Handlers is as follows:

• Fri, Dec 12: Call Time 2:40 PM / 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Estimated 4 hours)
• Sat, Dec 13: Call Time 9:45 AM / 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Estimated 4 hours)
• Sun, Dec 14: Call Time 9:45 AM / 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Estimated 4 hours)

Talent Requirements:

• Willingness to work outdoors and indoors, and stand for extended periods.
• Costume Character Actors (4’11" - 5’5” in height) must be comfortable in a fully enclosed costume.
• Actors should be highly energetic, physically animated, and possess great stamina.
• Handlers should be proactive in supporting the actor, engaging with guests, and demonstrating strong time management skills.
• Experience as a Costume Character Actor or Handler is preferred.
• Passion for video games and the brand (to be announced upon booking).
• Punctual, professional, engaging, and well-presented at all times.
• Team-oriented with a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
• Willingness to receive feedback and complete a Post-Event Survey.
