About This Role
Oxford Marketing is seeking enthusiastic individuals for an upcoming Paw Patrol Activation in Houston, TX. We are looking for a dedicated team to fill the following roles: (1) Lead Labor/Brand Ambassador, (1) Labor/Brand Ambassador Staff, (2) Costume Characters, and (1) Handler.
This event involves working with children, and as such, all staff must successfully pass a background check. The client will cover the cost of these checks. Please do not apply if you are aware of any issues that may appear on your background report.
Event Dates and Locations:
- Friday, October 24 – 15955 FM 529, Houston, TX
- Saturday, October 25 – 5405 S Rice Ave, Houston, TX
- Sunday, October 26 – 655 E Sam Houston Pkwy North, Houston, TX
Costume Character Requirements:
We are specifically looking for individuals to embody the following characters:
- Marshall – Height: 5’2” – 5’4”
- Skye – Height: 5’ – 5’2”
Please note, the costumes are slim-fitting. Do not apply for a costume role if you do not meet the specified height requirements.
Compensation:
- Mascot Pay: $45 per hour
- Lead Brand Ambassador/Labor Rate: $35 per hour
- Brand Ambassador/Labor Rate: $32 per hour
- Handler Rate: $32 per hour
Role Details and Responsibilities:
Labor/Brand Ambassador Roles (10:00 am - 5:00 pm):
Responsibilities include assisting the Tour Manager with the onsite setup of the activation, which requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfort using ladders. Following setup, you will serve as a Brand Ambassador during the activation. After the event, you will assist with breakdown. The setup involves a 10’x20’ truss structure.
Costume Characters (11:15 am - 4:15 pm):
You will engage with children and attendees while in costume, participate in photos, and interact with the crowd. Appropriate breaks will be provided throughout the shift.
Handler (11:15 am - 4:15 pm):
You will support the Costume Characters throughout their shifts, assist with walking around, and provide help as needed during the activation.
Event Highlights:
The activation will feature three play tables, two photo opportunities, a bean bag throwing game, and a special PAW character photo op in front of a real-life fire truck. Further details will be provided.
Requirements
- • All staff must pass a background check.
- • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

- • For costume role, must be within specified height range (Marshall: 5’2” – 5’4”; Skye: 5’ – 5’2”).
- • Must have all documents uploaded when creating a profile (resume, W9, IC Agreement).
