About This Role
HS Brands Global is seeking a Bar Standards Evaluator to confidentially assess bar operations, customer service, and ID compliance. This role offers $30 pay per evaluation, plus reimbursement for food and drinks up to $50 (if dining alone) or $100 (if dining with a guest).
This is a contractual position available from Friday, December 12th to Wednesday, December 31st, with evaluations conducted at various assigned locations.
We are looking for individuals who can discreetly observe and report on bar activities. The ideal candidate will be between 21 and 35 years old.
Key responsibilities include:
- Spending a minimum of one hour observing bartender(s) and overall bar operations, including cash handling, credit card procedures, tips, and bar tabs.
- Watching for signs of theft, fraud, or suspicious behavior from staff, noting how transactions are handled and interactions with off-duty employees and regular customers.
- Discreetly observing how different guest transactions are managed and if bartenders attempt to upsell premium spirits.
- Ordering one alcoholic beverage (must contain alcohol, no mocktails) and food from the menu.
Please note the following special instructions:
- Sit at the bar or stand in the bar area until a spot becomes available.
- Maintain discretion and do not exceed more than two alcoholic drinks during the observation period.
- Pay in CASH and include a cash tip, unless otherwise approved or requested.
- Obtain the final payment receipt, showing payment type and tip.
