A+ Staffing is casting for an Emcee for a live event in Lower Manhattan, New York on Wednesday, December 17th, from 8:00 PM – 2:00 AM.

We are seeking a female Emcee to lead a high-energy, culturally forward event. This is an upbeat nighttime activation, requiring someone with authentic edge, strong stage presence, and the ability to maintain an electric vibe throughout the night. The ideal candidate is culturally tapped-in, aligned with Gen Z/young millennial energy, and embodies the spirit of a cool NYC party host rather than a polished corporate emcee or traditional sports announcer.

Role Overview:

• Maintain and elevate the overall energy and vibe of the event.
• Shift smoothly between hype moments, crowd interactions, and on-the-fly engagement with talent.
• Set the tone as guests enter, kick off activities, and keep the flow moving from round to round.
• Announce rounds and ensure the event stays on schedule.
• Step in confidently during unexpected moments.
• Bring a relatable, culturally aware presence that resonates with the downtown NYC scene and younger audiences.
• Improvise and adapt to real-time flow, timing, and talent needs.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Has a natural, relatable, authentic presence.
• Aligned with NYC downtown culture and youth-driven creative scenes.
• Can energize a room without feeling forced or overly corporate.
• Quick on their feet and comfortable filling unexpected moments.
• Experience speaking to and engaging live audiences.
• Embodies the vibe of a charismatic party host, not a stadium announcer.

Compensation:

• Script rehearsal: 5 hours at $65/hour
• Event day: 6 hours at $150/hour

Payment will be issued via direct deposit.

Talent Requirements:

• Previous emcee experience required
• Strong improv skills
• Edgy, culturally tapped-in NYC energy
• Natural, authentic presence that resonates with downtown and Gen Z/Millennial audiences

Important Dates:

• Submission Deadline: November 30
• Virtual Auditions: Monday, December 1 (by appointment, between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ET)
