About This Role

Leaf Home is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Activation, Field or BA Manager for our Erie location. This is a crucial, on-going position that started Monday, December 08, in Sussex, Wisconsin.

As the District Event Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in building a high-performing team. Your responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and managing Event Marketers to significantly boost brand awareness and generate sales leads throughout your assigned district. You will also be responsible for sourcing direct-to-consumer events, meticulous budget management, strategic resource planning, efficient staff scheduling, and ensuring the successful execution of all events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and driving event-based marketing initiatives to generate qualified sales leads for follow-up by sales representatives.
  • Identifying, scheduling, and meticulously planning the event calendar for the Event Marketer team within your district.
  • Taking full responsibility for budgeting and staffing for all identified local events.
  • Attending a variety of events, including trade shows, home shows, fairs, festivals, and community events, while effectively managing your event marketing team to generate new sales leads.
  • Managing the setup and tear down of all event marketing materials and equipment.
  • Collaborating closely with local Operations and Installation Managers to enhance brand presence within the local market.
  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and developing skilled Event Marketers, fostering accountability through clear goals and established KPIs.
  • Developing timelines, organizational plans, and internal communications to ensure cohesiveness and transparency across the organization.
  • Tracking and reporting event metrics to evaluate performance and assess the ROI of each event.
  • Being responsible for exceeding sales lead quotas based on established KPIs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You should have 2+ years in a managerial position with strong recruiting and training skills, alongside experience in large-scale budgeting and planning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is being a self-starter with the ability to manage and develop others. The ability to handle multiple priorities, strong planning and organizational skills, and knowledge of current best practices and new strategies for event marketing are also critical. This role requires the ability to work evenings and/or weekends and pre-scheduled events, and to navigate various work activities while maintaining focus and meeting stakeholder demands without "dropping the ball." You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment with a "roll up your sleeves" and "win every day" mentality. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from assigned events are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access) is required. You must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Preferred qualifications include experience in lead generation and/or experiential marketing, previous management position(s) in Direct-to-Consumer marketing, experience in multi-unit management, and previous experience in home improvement event marketing.

This position requires more than 50% domestic travel and may involve additional hours beyond regular working days.

The physical demands include working in a normal office environment as well as a field office/manufacturing/construction environment. Indoor work in a climate-controlled environment is also part of the role.
